UMG 2015
Signing of the first protocols between the UMG and the UAG (Beirut, Labanon)
On Wednesday November 30th, 2011, at the headquarters of the UAG in Beirut, Lebanon, the UMG president and the UAG president signed an understanding protocol where both instances agreed on the following:
- Cooperate to set standards and technical and moral frameworks for the practice of surveyor profession
- Suggest criteria for the equivalence of diplomas issued by the member states of both organisations
- Support the opening of the job market for geometricians members of the two organizations in all member countries
- Coordinate all positions relating to the profession with all the regional, national and international organizations, especially the international federation of surveyors (FIG), the federation of francophone surveyors (FGF) and the liaison committee of the European surveyors (CLGE)
- Cooperate and to suggest common criteria and standards for training programs for institutes, schools, universities and research centers within the areas of expertise of surveyors
- Support a periodic program for the exchange of students, trainees and teachers between member states of both organizations
